212RH
The OMATIC 212RH is HACO's CNC punch press. The hydraulic driven punch head punches and nibbles at
very high speeds of up to 1000 hits/min.
Choose between a 12 or 20 station ALL-INDEXABLE TOOL TURRET and minimize your tooling inventory and tool change time.
Loading & Unloading Systems
Ask about our automatic and semi-automatic sheet loading and unloading systems.
These PLC controlled systems, designed by HACO are very heavy duty and rated to handle sheets up to 3/16".
Toolchanger vs Conventional turret machines
The turret of the 212RH only acts as a toolchanger to store the tools. Most of our competitors have the tools
sitting in a bore in the turret and a hammer hits the top of the tool, which then punches through the metal. A
spring pushes the tool back up.
On the 212RH, we take the tool out of the turret like a milling machine would take a tool from a tool changer system.
We then clamp the top and bottom tool in a hydraulic clamp system, which is 360 degrees indexable. This gives us (3)
major advantages over our competitors:
- Eliminate the turret wear caused by the tools moving in the bore of the turret. This turret wear can have a
huge effect on precision but will also increase your service costs
- Because of the elimination of this turret wear, we can use smaller die clearances to punch thinner materials
- All tools in the turret are 360 degrees indexable, which will decrease your tool inventory and cost by
approximately 30%, but will also increase your flexibility in making nestings.
Punch, nibble or form with the adjustable stroke on this unique machine. The fully programmable Z-axes or punch
stroke has excellent forming capabilities. We can keep the tool close to the sheet for nibbling thin sheet or use
higher strokes on thicker material. We can also compensate the tool height after grinding the tool by just changing
the tool height in the tooling library. The Z-axis will automatically compensate for this.
Slug Vacuum System
A vacuum system built into the machine sucks the slugs into the bottom die where they are collected in a slug shaft.
During a tool change or programmed amount of hits, the slug door opens and all slugs are blown into a movable
container. This system almost eliminates the need for slug huggers built into the die.
Sheet Repositioning
Sometimes there is a need to punch sheets bigger than the physical X dimension of your machine. This machine comes
standard with 2 sheet-repositioning cylinders. These pneumatic cylinders clamp the sheet next to the die area. Once
clamped, the sheet clamps that move the sheet, open, and reposition to another area where they will clamp the sheet
again. Once the sheet reposition cylinders go up again, the punching action is continued. We do recommend ordering
extra tables to prevent the larger sheets from hanging after repositioning.
Control & Software
The optional RADAN software is one of the best CAD/CAM systems on the market today. They offer full CAD drawing both
in 2D & 3D, 3D part unfolding, automatic tooling, square nesting and true shape nesting. The postprocessor for the
212RH will export the G-codes that can be sent to the 212RH by cable or by diskette.
The standard control on all HACO punching machines is the TPC25GR color graphical controller. This control has an
edge over most other controls, which normally just act as a driver for other punching and nesting software. Here you
can program simple parts and manually nest the parts at the machine with pre-programmed templates.

Millennium
The Millennium model is the largest punch press in Haco’s series. Standard X-travel on this machine is 120" without
repositioning the sheet.
A 20' gantry moves a full size sheet at very high speeds under the hydraulic punch head.
Together with a sheet loading and unloading system, this punch press will be the working horse of your manufacturing cell.
The Millennium turret punch press comes with a 12, 30 or 50 tool holder turret. All tool holders are 360 degrees
auto-indexable. The punch head has an adjustable stroke like all other OMATIC models. Different types of tooling
can be adapted to our machines.
